WHAT WOULD THE FANS BE SINGING WITHOUT THE VOCALS – Why the Music Industry Must Change Now…
The music industry is a vast and lucrative machine, churning out hit after hit, raking in billions of dollars each year. But there’s a dirty secret that the industry has kept hidden for far too long: the exploitation and underpayment of vocalist and songwriters.
For too long, vocalist and songwriters have been treated as an afterthought, mere cogs in the machine, expected to produce hit songs while receiving a pittance for their hard work. This is unacceptable and must change NOW.
It’s time for the music industry to recognize the value that vocalist and songwriters bring to the table. Without their talent and dedication, hit songs would be nothing but empty melodies. It’s time for the industry to step up and give vocalist and songwriters the respect and compensation they deserve.
That’s why the Vocalist Songwriters Alliance (VSA), started by pro vocalist and songwriter Antonia Lucas in 2011, is leading the charge for change. Within a month of its creation, over 300 pro vocalists joined the alliance, demanding better pay, fair treatment, and recognition for their contributions to the industry. Today the VSA has transformed into Lovevocals.com
It’s time for a vocal revolution. We need to break the chains of the exploitative system that has kept vocalist and songwriters silent for too long. The music industry must support vocalist and songwriters by paying them fairly, giving them credit where credit is due, and including them in the decision-making process.
To all creators out there, we call on you to join the revolution. Support the lovevocalscdev.ampupmusic.digital and other vocalists’ organisations that are fighting for change. Let’s make the music industry a better place for everyone, including the talented vocalist and songwriters who make it all possible.
The industry is broken, but together, we can fix it. Let’s stand up for the silent betrayal of vocalist and songwriters and demand the change we deserve!
